Fancy being a game designer?

Side Quest is a radical new UK wide initiative to encourage young people aged 13-19 who are currently stuck at home during the pandemic to start a rewarding career in the videogames industry. Side Quest challenges participants to build a game in 7 days, with free software, regular live-streamed masterclasses and a supportive online community.  
The programme is currently being mapped to the National Curriculum and is supported by the national games trade body, UKIE, as well as The National Videogames Museum, The Mayor of London, Creative Assembly (Total War, Alien Isolation) and Sumo Digital (Little Big Planet). the project is run by the games industry youth career service, Into Games.

The initiative aims to get 100,000 young people building their first game by the end of September, connecting them to dozens of different careers in the industry.
