Collaborate to innovate. Award winning partnership with schools.

The Partnership between the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Technical Team and the Enterprise Adviser Network was recognised nationally at the Health Tech News Awards. Saeed Amar, Head of Technical Services at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals won the NHS Collaborative Award alongside Shaheen Gul, Enterprise Coordinator in Lancashire.

The process began when Enterprise Coordinators presented on the Lancashire Enterprise Advisers Network and Saeed realised the great opportunity to increase engagement with schools. It was clear that the digital team’s input could be extremely significant in raising awareness of the pathways in the digital sector. Not an obvious career opportunity within the NHS. He also saw the need for a coordinated approach to ensure effective and high-quality activities where the positive impact on young people could be measured. His energetic and enthusiastic approach over spilled beyond his Enterprise Adviser role in his own school into many schools across Lancashire as he inspired and encouraged meaningful employer encounters. He is a regular advocate for the wider network due to his exemplary practice and his promotion of this invaluable network. His reach goes beyond school as he advises other business organisations on how they can also be involved. Thanks to all involved.
