Career learning – front of class

This previously published resource was perfect for career learning at home. However, as schools tentatively re-open, you may wish to intersperse your curriculum catch-up with some careers activities, discussions and shared research. The aim is to ensure mindsets focus on the future in a positive way and it can facilitate structured discussion between staff and students after , for many, a long absence. These generic tasks may be of use as staff and students go on a journey together to research and reflect on career pathways.

They provide questions for self-reflection that then link to relevant web based careers resources. (Internet access is required).

You can complete all or some of the sections as directed by you with the learning focusing on:

  • The range of career opportunities
  • Careers linked to subjects, skills and interest
  • Career pathways
  • Preparation for your career
  • Inspirational stories
  • Problem solving learning linked to the world of world

There are versions for each key stage and different resources and links in each one.

Version 2 – updated 27 April
